Position the University of Paris on the international scene for its commitment to the SDGs

#Learning Planet festival

Identify the many initiatives of educational innovations in the service of the SDGs throughout the world, to make them known so that they in turn mobilise and inspire other actors to collaborate

The second objective of the #Learning Planet festival is to link institutions and change agents - innovators, social entrepreneurs, students, activists, scientists and artists - to develop their ideas. From 24 to 30 January, 250 online sessions brought together 330 speakers and 2,500 participants from 90 countries on the festival's online platform, while thousands more followed the sessions (5,700 on the #LearningPlanet YouTube channel). Many also took part in the events organised in the Hub by various partner organisations, such as Global Minnesota's International Education Day national symposium, the Festival de l'Apprendre in Lyon (each of which mobilised several thousand participants), or the many activities organised by, with and for young people, such as the Youth x Youth sessions (over 50 online workshops). The sessions addressed a multitude of crucial issues, such as children's rights and health, education for sustainable development, learning ecosystems, new models of leadership or new models of education financing.

To thrive, we must continually explore new horizons and be inspired by other innovative approaches. Many inspiring forerunners around the world are already providing spaces where young people learn to care for themselves, others and the planet, and dare to take on the challenges of their communities, thus giving deep meaning to their learning.

Learning Planet Assembly

An action conference that aims to mobilise and strengthen a community of 200 of the most committed #LearningPlanet partners in collaborative working sessions

These operational groups, the "Circles", are already made up of key organisations such as Ashoka, Club of Rome, Global Education Leaders' Partnership, Weave Global, WHO-UNICEF-Lancet Commission... The first meetings of these Circles are currently underway and will produce outputs to be implemented in the next academic year on the themes of "Education for sustainability", "Youth empowerment", "New leadership models", and "Transitions in Higher Education". Here again, the University of Paris will be in the spotlight and will, in fact, be a pioneer in promoting reflections and actions to initiate a transition towards sustainability and pedagogical transition.
